JK Rowling has completed The Tales of Beedle the Bard, a set of wizarding fairytales referred to in her final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
This unique autograph manuscript, translated from the original runes and extensively illustrated by the author, will not be published and only seven copies will be printed.
One copy will be auctioned to raise money for the Rowling’s charity, The Children’s Voice, and the rest will be given away to the her close friends and family.
Sotheby’s, who will be handling the sale, have produced a 48-page commemorative catalogue for this unique item, which contains a message from the author and images from the manuscript.
J.K. Rowling said, writing The Tales of Beedle the Bard was a "wonderful way to say goodbye” to Potter and the world she has "loved and lived in for 17 years."
"People kept saying to me 'you'll be glad to have a break from writing', when of course I wasn't taking a break at all," added the writer.
The auction starting price for the stories is £30,000.
